“Hey Mom, I’ll be home in a few for dinner at our favorite restaurant Galini’s, I’m not sure why you aren’t picking up your phone but I’ll see you soon, love you mommy.” Mariam loved her mom to death, and every Saturday night they went out to dinner together. Her beautiful brown locks blew in the cool autumn breeze a she came home from a day of shopping at her favorite mall. Mariam approached her door, and it creaked open, which was quite weird since it never creaked. She entered, and was met by a pool of blood on the floor, and as her eyes slowly rose, she saw her mother hanging from the high ceiling. She began to panic, tears filling her eyes, and suddenly, she heard a familiar voice creep behind her whispering, “Mariam, you’re next."
